Good Afternoon,
What payment method did use for PRA pay for delete?
After making arrangementvia chat or phone do you have to pay that very moment and do you use credit card or checking; or is sending in a check or money order suggested?
Thank you.
Whos the collection agency. And never send a check to a CA.
Do you mean portfolio recovery? I settled with them and split up my payments over 3 months. I had it automatically debited on the same day every month. And they sent me a letter every month confirming the debit. Then the account was considered closed. They've updated the three credit bureaus with the settled amount and I'm waiting for it to come off my credit in about 30 days.
Yes,mfor Portfolio recovery paid for delete; just wanted to know if everyone pays by check, debit or credit, or money order?
Thank you.
They updated their terms and if you settle or pay in full, they will delete. I set up a payment plan through their website to settle for less (didnt have to talk to anyone). It's like $20 every 2 weeks. They send a letter in the mail (like a receipt) for each payment. The website is pretty user friendly honestly. Mine is auto debited from my debit card. So I would say it doesn't really matter how you pay. Of course paying online is much faster than mailing. But ultimately it is up to you. Just keep you receipt or confirmation or whatever.
Once again. Never pay by check. Get a money order if need be.
Some have had bad experiences with giving them a check, some have not. It's all about your personal preference. Of the 3 recent payments I made to CAs, all were done via debit card for a specific amount.
Debit card and I paid at that very moment.
PRA owned a few accounts for me. After asking for validation, they sued me for all of them. I was able to get a lawyer, but needless to say, they are the worst.

What is the logic behind this statement? I am curious as to why you recommend not pay by check to a CA. Granted it has been YEARS since I had to go through this, but when I did I paid plenty of CA's via check and had no issues.
