This is just a guess but if you filed to have something removed or changed, its probably in review or being changed so its being handled by the specialist department. (basically not the phone reps that answer every call that comes in, the backdoor number kinda to a different department that has the ability on their computer to change information)
When I call capitalone I can ask and change all sorts of things but the second I mention a payment issue or an old account they immediately refer me to account specialists and give me a number for them.
When dealing with mine, I was redirected to Special Handling with EQ. Guess because I had lawyers and such involved.
