Not in California..I'm in Utah, but I called all the CA that sued him and requested they have the attorney file the motion. So far one has agreed and filed the motion. The other two seemed really confused. They kept saying, "But, it's paid already!" and I kept saying, "Yes, I know, and now we would like to get it vacated/set aside." So, we'll see how well those two go, but I do think you can file yourself..At least in Utah.
If Utah allows for paid judgments to be vacated, you can file the motion yourself. There is nothing that says you have to have an attorney to do that. Only that the other party has to agree to it. And you would need to pay the filing fee.
Way to Go!!!
