Re: beware of collection accounts reporting as a Open TYPE Tradeline

Yes....get the reports directly from the credit reporting agency not, from an online service like credit karma.

The CRA printed reports show much more detail than any other source.

The views online even at their own sites, mask or hide data, or sometimes translate data that can mislead you.

Raw = real reports directly from them.

Re: beware of collection accounts reporting as a Open TYPE Tradeline

Another tidbit of information -- Just noticed this one, because my account was really closed. Thanlks Mreeves.

On EQ - I have not verified TU and EX yet, but I will --

1.. When the Debt Collector reports the accounts as credit Grantors - they set the Pay Status to "Collection Account" -- this - closes the account in EQ's systems, and those accounts will show up in the CLOSED Section of their reports, whether they are open or not.

2. They will NOT show up in the collections section of your reports,  and when they do not - the HEADING = COLLECTIONS may not even exist.

3. A collection account 's Pay Status can only ever be - a PAID or UNPAID collection.

4. When you see a PAY STATUS of COLLECTION ACCOUNT - this is yet another red flag. If you also look at the date closed value- it will be blank.

On top of every other issue with them inserting themselves as Credit Grantors, what they are doing is the most remarkable bull ish I have ever seen. And because they believe we know no better, or could NOT figure this part out-- I am still in awe of EQ allowing this to occur, and EX and TU knowing this as well.

How do you order your "raw" credit report?  Directly through each CB?  I'm assuming that does NOT provide the raw that you are referring to?

Yes, from the credit reporting agencies directly and preferred as printed reports.

Raw in this context simply means as it is in its enterity, no layers or chasers.
