bounced check/collection DOLA question

this may be a dumb question, but how long will the bounced check/collection stay on?  It is paid and showing up as a collection/paid.  Is the DOLA the date written? Or deposited?  Is it 7 years then? I have tried GW the collection co to no avail.

It will stay 7 -7 1/2 years from DOFD, which I would assume be the date you wrote the check. That is the date you went delinquent/missed the payment.
