Wow, a lot of info!
I wont comment on each, but here is the jist.
Public records and collections hurt the most. Are they all accurate?
It is not what is in your CR that steers your initial actions to improve your credit score, it is what you can identify in your CR that is inaccurate that is your first focus.
Concentrate first on the major derogs of public records and collections. You can address collections, if still active, by DV letters if not accurate, or PFD letters if accurate.
Then focus on your OC accounts. Do the same there. While their may be major lates on those accounts, they can turn into collections or legal action if remain withoout action.
So first determine what you think is accurate, and what you think you can dispute as inaccurate.
What would be more helpful to us in offering more specific advice is a concise summary of:
The DOFD on each OC acount and whether each OC has done a CO or CA on the account.
A listing of each account in collection, with the DOFD for the OC account that formed the basis for the collection.
For each OC account that is not yet a CO or collection, all OC reported delinquencie on the account.
I say this because we view it not from the perspective of you raw account date, but rather where they are and where to go with each.
hi RobertEGpardon me, but you completely lost me with your post. Is there a better site i can get all that info in an easy way to show to you guys? I know of a few things that are not accurate, example the bill my mom, i believe, opened in my name. If i can fix these things, do you guys have a good format letter i could fill in spaces, and mail in? Or examples of letters that have been written in the past?My greatest thanksMichael

Ok, I am going to try and address some of these .
AES/SunTrust.
Is showing 60 days late payment however it does not state when these late payments were. Do you know how long ago those were? Were you actually late on the payments? The best thing to do with lates is to send GW (goodwill) letters asking for them to remove the data from your reports. Explain why you were late (be honest but induce sympathy) give them a good reason why you were late and show that your account is in good standing now - explain that you are hoping to buy a house and that you think they are wonderful and have provided a great service in the past and therefore you would appreciate any help they can give you. Their address should be listed on your report under the creditors section at the end.
Be prepared to be persistent with GW letters - they are not always going to help you initially and you literally are relying on their goodwill to have this information corrected.
IF the information is actually incorrect and you were not 60 days late then show them proof of this if you can and ask that they correct their reporting to the CRA (credit reporting agency)
ALLIED INT - I will pass on for now
BONN COLL - What is this for? Have you done DV? (Debt Validation) You need to confirm that this debt is indeed yours and where it originates from... if it is your moms account then you should not be required to pay it (especially if you were a minor) if they cannot Validate then it should be removed. Look for a sample of a DV letter on this site to send to them.
CAVALRY PORTFOLIO SERVICES - again - DV
CREDIT SOLUTIONS - again - DV
ER SOLUTIONS - again - DV
Um ok, all the other ones that are with collection agencies. DV first before you do anything else.
Sterling SVG - again send them a GW letter asking them to delete the lates.
US BANK SL - not doing you any harm
All your accounts are fairly new so it'll be a while before the bads will just drop off on their own but honestly so many of them are accounts that are in collections that you seem to have no idea what they are for that with the exception of the two I said to GW you first of all need to confirm that these are indeed your accounts and who the original creditors were. Also check your reports and make sure that the only name and social security number on there are yours.
Once you have got Debt Validation (or have found out that these are not your accounts) then post again and people will tell you what other info they need in order to help you. It's gonna be a long road unless a lot of those accounts turn out not to be yours.
Susyquk;
Hey, thanks a lot for that information. It looks like i have a long road ahead of me, that's for sure. I did have another question:
Will the crown jeweler account help my credit at all,
and would a secured credit card help my credit at all either.
I'm going to go find those letters and get on them. Do you know of a site or anyone else, do you guys know of a site that would show you the entire account numbers? creditchecktotal.com just shows you the first few numbers, I guess i could contact the creditor by phone and request that information.
Another question, what if i pay one of those bills off, the credit solutions corp one for example. Will this help my credit?
thanks for all your help
mike
I had RJM claim an old collection from book of the month club. I disputed with the 3 credit bureaus and also did a debt validation to RJM and in it indicated that i was disputing any balance left, requested itemization of books they allege that I owed for and addiitonally that account was from 2001 far past my state statute of limitations. it was removed almost immediaitely, hope this helps. My transunion report shows the full account numbers. I would imagine the crown jewelers helps so long as you pay on it, keep it current and do not have a high balance. IMO I would concentrate on cleaning up the credit vs getting additional credit with what you have to fix.
Here is a sample of the letter I used:
