collection on in error what to do?

SO i saw a past due collection from a medical bill back in 2013 for my child and i always had insurance so i called the hospital and after back and forth of them not being able to find it they finally did and said it was sent to collection agency in error and that they sent a fax yesterday that it should be closed and removed so when i called collection agency back to tell them this and find out when it would be he said that they dont have a fax and it usually is immediate, should i worry they lost it? 

What should i do should i give it time to see if they delete it off my report or should i dispute it with credit bureau to have it removed? Id disputed as no knowledge and they verifieed it before which was what led me to call but the original hospital said they made an error. will the collection agency remove it should i be patient? The collection agency is peter roberts and associates if that helps. 

Im just so frustrated because im trying to rebuild and this is holding me back as i only have 3 more collections 2 of which are in process of PFD now the other a c/o due to fall off in 2016

I would get a letter of this in writing from the hospital, forward a copy of it with a letter to the CA requesting immediate deletion of their TL

I had one. What I did was called my insurance company. Explained the situation, made sure my daughter was in fact covered for that time period. My insurance company then called and settled it for me. I have BCBS.

Mine was also an error in the billing department. The assigned the wrong group number in which it got denied and they sent it to collection. It was removed immediately, and the doctors ate the bill willingly.

ok i will call hospital and ask for a letter stating it was an error and they were paid. 

I did check with insurance and it was in fact paid, the hospital has it as paid too. I think its simply the CA not wanting to remove it or admit they cannot collect as it isnt valid he just kept telling me it was verified by the hospital who said it wasnt. 

I also have 2 other ones from the same CA for 34 and 35 and from a different hospital who also said they were paid so she reached out to them today and will call me tomorrow

Yea the CA will try to collect it. They tried with me but I wasn't having it. It's not my problem you bought a debt and now have to eat it. they don't have your best intrest in mind. They will steal, lie and cheat. Show no mercy to the CA.

i wont as both hospitals have contacted and told them it was an error and it has been paid. the first hospital for the 1100 bill was not very helpful but the other was and is calling them.. the bigger bill is resending the fax but ill have her send me a letter stating it was an error as well.

They cant refuse to remove the collections since they never should have occured right, i dont want it reported as paid i want it deleted.

Once its deleted EX and EQ will be clear and just TU to still work with

Harley 14 yes landmark is the one who messed up with the 1100 bill and not being as helpful i got transferred like 4 times before being told it was an error and that they faxed the CA yesterday.

The 2 smaller ones were from 2010 at Fatima

Harley was yours landmark? how did you get it immediately removed? from the CA or the hospital? they said they sent a fax should i have them do anything else
