credit One CO deleted

I had a CO with Credit One bank that was sold to midland financial. I haven't paid midland but decided to try to get the CO removed first because from what I have been reading midland is hard to deal with. I sent an email to the EO at credit one asking for a goodwill adjustment. They emailed me back saying that they would review my file and send me a letter letting me know the results. I got the letter and they deleted from all credit agencies. Now I have to figure out a strategy for midland. Lol. So far I have had 3 capital one CO deleted and the credit one CO deleted. It's a start, I still have 3 baddies that are collections. Thanks for the help, this place is awesome.

Wow, good job Credit 1 isnt known for deleting their reporting, the older the better for them.

No, Credit One charged it off, midland funding bought the debt. I haven't paid midland I am trying to figure a plan of attack with them. I still have a few months before sol runs out so I'm not ready to poke the sleeping bear.

I'm really surprised by that, my credit one account is charged off, but they refused to delete. They always state who my account is currently with and to contact them if i have any questions.

It's been a months since i last sent an email, i may try faxing today, and another email.

this is interesting.  I have the same situation.. an old credit one and havent dealt with midland yet.  Congrat on your success just curious what exactly did you say in your goodwill?  Also can I have the email address?  I'd be one happy camper if I could get this darn chargeoff to go away.

I'm also interested in the email address and what you said to them? I have a CO collection but I have not been contacted on it in years.  It's set to fall off early next year.  THANKS!
