Does equifax still allow disputes via fax?

I sent one on 2-18-09 and what I requested be deleted was, so apparently.  I didn't call and ask first though.  I've heard if you call and ask, they ask to you snail mail it.  I used the following number:

 1-888-826-0573

Yeah, I have done it in the past and since they send you updates, that means they got it but I know they like to change their numbers regularly so for your own security, always verify the current number from someone who has successfully used a number and make sure you are not sending it to a number that is disconnected or belongs to someone else.

I wish you the best on your disputes too. I'm going through the pits with the online dispute system with them. I should have just faxed them myself.

Writing is actually better since you have a paper trail, fax is just assumed to be quicker. I wish you the best of luck with your disputes. I know they can put us throug the ringer and I have been through it MANY times, so I feel for you. Good luck.
