got 11 points jump without any change on report

Got a surprise jump of 11 points on Equifax. Score watch sent me alert on Sunday that my score changed to 630 from previous score of 619. Weird but great. In fact I always get alerts on Saturday or Sunday when the reports barely change on weekends.
I guess just paying on time is helping my credit. Got a total 131 points increase since February. Life is great when u r debt free.

Probably the result of an increased average age of accounts and average age of baddies Robot Very Happy Congrats!

It also might be the age of your existing credit or the balances are lower.

Re: got 11 points jump without any change on report

Actually i think it might be because of my late payment/ average age of delinquent accounts are too old to hurt scores anymore. i had paid down my credit card balances to 10% but they are not reported to credit bureaus until today. And i got this alert yesterday.

I had huge delinquencies on my car loans back in November 2011 and since then i am paying on time.

So far my journey to fair credit : pulled MyFICO Equifax score & report in February. Score was terrble 499. I was too irresponsible about making payments and ended up having 12 collections/charge off/late payments on my credit. Used my bonus from work full to pay off all baddies. 8 of the collection accounts deleted. 4 of them still left of which 2 big ones will drop off next year.

I would say paying off collections does not reset the date of first delinquency based on which your account will be deleted after 7 years.

i had also been added as authorized user on my wife's credit cards : AMEX (2000), DISCOVER(4700), CITI (2800)

Applied for credit cards and store cards myself : MACYS (100), EXPRESS (250), BUCKLE (250), CapitalOne Cash Rewards (300), CapitalOne Platinum (500)

No more credit applications till May 2014 when me and my wife will be looking for new mortgage. Hoping to reach 700 by then. Wish me luck

Thanks
