What is the best way to correct a late on your EX report. It's reporting a 30 day late but my other reports aren't. And it's seems while going back through old reports it's flip flopping back and forth from Oct 2010 to Nov 2010.

Before you OPEN any disputes with EX... how about you contact the OC that has put the 30-day-late on your EX and not on EQ and TU? that's what I would do first and have them correct it.
Well, don't contact EQ and TU - Keep them out of it.
Yes, contact who is reporting this and ask them why they are flipflopping. Were you late?
I got online and checked my account , It's with Ford Credit. It's states 27 days late for Oct. 2010. I'm not sure what to do. At that time my Ex and I were separating property and he was suppose to pay all household bills. Which as you can see he didn't pay. Went back to court and I took the car. At the time I tried to get online to check the account but because he changed info etc it would never let me log on. I finally called Ford and talked to an agent and they took payment over the phone. Since That month my payment has been auto pay. My other reports are reflecting no lates....
Are they allowed to mark a "30 day late" when someone is only 27 days late? Boy, I'd be fighting that one til I got it off. I'd be calling and faxing and emailing every Ford person I could find on the internet. But first, I'd call the finance manager that sold me the car and see what she/he could do.
I would suggest doing a bit more than just contacting them.
Send the creditor a direct dispute under FCRA 623(a)(8), requiring them to conduct a formal investigation and report the results directly back to you within 30 days.
Yes, leave the CRAs out of it. They will just sanitize your dispute, and meddle with their reinvestigation rights.
A 27-day late may be late, but it is not a reportable late.
