inquiry help

ok so I guess this is "rebuilding" So recently got a very very very special car, needless to say SOOOOO many lenders could not find this car to give it a book value (as only 99 were made) so they ran the credit, and basically could not find value to declined the loan, I went to a broker who DOES this sort of thing and he tacked on about 11 more inquires long and short got the baby in my garage BUT I'm left with a MASSIVE amount of inquiries here.. and yes even know the "fair shopping act" exists each and every one took 2-4 points so needless to say my once perfect credit SUCKS now....

So my question is, does anyone have an effective way to get them either knocked off or to force them not to count since the law seems to state thats the case, anyway to enforce it?

Thanks

Re: inquiry help

You can make sure they're coded correctly, which if you took scoring hits for each one, means they weren't. Unfortunately, not sure if you can get each lender or the broker to fix that. On top of that, even if they only scored as 1 hit, you'll still have 12 inquiries that will be extremely hard to dispute, if at all. Again, the best course would be to reach out to the broker or lenders to try and get them removed. It's an extremely rare thing to get done because they are legitimate. I also doubt many of them are coded incorrectly because of the rarity of the car. They're more likely personal loans vs auto loans from specialized lenders.

If that's the case, they're not coded correctly. Not grounds for dispute, though.

Re: inquiry help

My story is different than your issue. Had a flood. Car drowned. Needed a new car. Dealer told me that for a higher APR I would receive $1K off the top if I went with FMCC. I did the math. That deal would still save me hundreds. I agreed. The dealership ran my credit with several FI.  My score dropped. My CR looked ugly. I wrote (using return receipt) to each of the banks. Some took a couple of letters. At least one took a phone call. All were removed. Score went up. I never gave permission to run with any entity except Ford Credit.

Please post your car. My brother in law has a Tojan. I have a modified 1955 Thunderbird. No, not the car financed!

Re: inquiry help

Only thing you can do is call those creditors directly and see if they will recode them to a SP, sometimes it works sometimes not. If they wont recode to a SP you can ask that they code them as auto since Fico only sees 1 inq if all are done within 14 days of the first auto loan inq.
