Re: probably dumb question but..

Not unless they agree to remove it. Paid collections/CO's remain on your CBR's for the full 7 - 7.5 years. You lost your leverage over this matter the second you paid it.

Re: probably dumb question but..

Who is reporting the collection, the OC or a CA?

What do you mean by "from directv failing to offer a service"?

GW is usually the way to go when trying to remove a paid collection.

Re: probably dumb question but..

it was FIA or FIO or whatever that company is.. what do you mean by GW?

Its only on the one Report- not the others. my other scores are about 730 where hat one is now 630.

basically direcTV offered 4 months free as a promotion at the time ( around 03) and failed to offer the promotion. being a college studen at the time I listened to my roommates which was not the best thing to do.

Re: probably dumb question but..

GW= GoodWill where you ask the CA to remove the collection.

Check the Freq Requested Threads link, there will be a link to a sample.
