Any ideas how to remove a CA that shouldn't be collecting?!

Quick question -
I should not have been billed due to having health insurance at the time. I thought the situation got taken care of, but it seems like a CA is trying to collect on me.
Does anyone know if I can still talk to the Doctor to have them recall the CA and fix the error?

When was the treatment date? Have you talked with your insurance company? Are you sure this wasn't some co-pay you owed, or the treatment wasn't covered because you hadn't reached your deductible?

Well, I'd have to dig around, but it was a year or two ago.
I did speak to them, and they told me that getting a physical would be covered 100%, so I got one. I guess the billing got messed up somehow, so they didn't pay.
I'm not sure how to proceed on this one!

Call the OC, not the CA, and ask them what date you had your physical. Then, ask your insurance company if they are willing to pay on a service that was rendered 1-2 years ago. Some insurance companies might pay it, some might not. Another thing to keep in mind is fewer and fewer insurance companies are covering physicals, my insurance does not pay for physicals. I assume you can afford to pay this med collection in full if you have to?

I could, I plan to DV one company (non medical) and request a PFD first. I think I'll tackle that first Smiley Happy

I did forget to ask one thing...I've been reading that medical CAs get removed when paid? Is this true?

Yes, this is correct, but sometimes it takes some work.
