Medical Collections

I have 2 Unpaid Medical Collections that are bringing my score down. One is for $65.00 and the other is for $155.00

I dont mind paying them off in full but I also want the collections removed from my credit reports. How do I go about doing this?

Re: Medical Collections

Use the HIPAA process from the beginning! Do not miss a step. and when making payment to the OC be sure to use the restrictive endorsement.

Re: Medical Collections

You have to pull your CR from the CBs direct or https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp   (if you haven't gotten your free CR for the year)

3rd party pullers can not show medical info. The CBs must mask the medical providers info. It will be on a CR that you pull from the CB.

You might be able to get the info. by calling the CB.

Re: Medical Collections

Thank you Happy Days!

I found who the collection is  - its NCO Financial.

I am about to write the Pre-HIPAA Letter as you suggest in your very helpful thread located above... and I was wondering if you know the Credit Reporting Agencies Addresses where these letters should be addressed?

Re: Medical Collections

Also, DO i have to do the Pre-HIPAA letter? I do know what these collections are for, is there any way I can get the collections agency to delete from my Credit Report if I agree to pay them?
