They have not responded yet.I have the green card (CMRRR) ,so I know they have received it. Should I wait to see if they respond and what they have to say?

Well their in Charoltte NC, I'm in Wilmington NC. that's where we lived when she had the surgery.Not really local.

sorry one more question, should I send in the benefit explanation (proof that the claim was paid)

with the letter to the CRA.

also what does this mean     I am sending this dispute certified mail # xxxx to make sure you receive it.

Is there a number I get from the post office to put in where the xxxx are?

I got a letter back from the CA, they said they would settle for the amount and remove the account from the 3 CRA.but it has to be done by 4/17. Should I continue with the HIPAA letter or should I just pay it.I have verification that the insurance paid it and it is a duplicate claim. Any advice? I know it my decision.

So, the CA is demanding you pay a bogus collection? What's more important to you, getting rid of the collection by paying it or sticking it to the CA and not paying it?
