Pay the CA or the OC?

Just received a DV from a medical CA (Financial Control Services) - it's $100...whom should I pay - them or the  the OC?  Any form letters you can point me to for PFD letters?  I've had SO many CA tell me that the couldn't do this, but I really just want to be done with this.

Re: Pay the CA or the OC?

PFD can be dangerous with med collections. Have you read the med collections and HIPAA letter process link in my sig line?

Re: Pay the CA or the OC?

Because you have a medical collection, you should use the HIPAA Process.

The link you provided doesn't work.  Can you point me to another link?

Re: Pay the CA or the OC?

Welcome!

Lets back up here. Did you ever dispute this med collection with the CRA(s)? If so, what happened? Is it on all three of your reports? How old is it? Can you afford to pay it off if you have to?

Re: Pay the CA or the OC?

Yes I disputed this with the CRA - several times over the last 6 months, but it's still there (Experian says that it's been validated) - which is fine b/c it's mine.  It's only showing on Experian. It's only $100 so I can certainly afford to pay it and would do so YESTERDAY if they would consider a PFD.  Should the PDF be sent to the OC or the CA?
