In a response from Experian to my PreHippa letter they wrote:
If you question the results of our investigation, then you may want to contact the data furnisher directly. Please refer to your original personal credit report for the business name, address, and phone number (if available) of the source that verified the information. Sincerely Experian
This is the only letter I have received from Experian. I thought my letter was to initiate an investigation not to question the results?? So, what should be my next course of action? dP
When did EX receive your dispute? 4/17
Is this collection marked as "disputed by the consumer and verified" on your EX report? No, it says currently being investigated.Has the CA sent you validation after EX received your pre-HIPAA dispute letter? No
When I first ordered my report from EX I didnt see that until looking at the printable report. This letter may have been from my personal info verification. Does that sound plausible?
EX's letter was in response to your pre-HIPAA medical dispute letter.
Is this med collection paid or unpaid? Unpaid
If unpaid, can you afford to pay it in full if you have to? Yes.

ok I will do that, but should I wait the full 35 days to hear something from the CA? dPMessage Edited by deadpools on 04-29-2009 12:00 PM
Your supposed to give 30 days, but I have found that if the CA has the "goods" on you, they'll validate within 3 weeks. Don't be surprised if the CA doesn't respond, it not unusual.

I would go ahead with step 2 and use insert A. Experian is difficult to deal with. The CA may or may not ever send validation.
The OC letter is not the right step to take with deadpool's situation. A business relationship between the OC and CA hasn't been proven yet.
