I'm so glad I found this forum. The mods are fantastic! Medical debt. 3 collections. 2 companies. 2 are paid. (1 +1 at each CA). My issue is that I'm on a payment plan with one of the collections with the CA. I think I owe roughly $300 left. I pay $50/mo. it comes directly out of my chkg every month. My question is should I start the HIPPA process now? or wait until I've made the final payment on the last collection? I have the money to pay it off. I've called and tried to get a pay for delete and was denied. I've only pulled my EQ report and these are the only collections I have on there. If I get them off, I'll be clear on EQ. I need to pull my TransU. Guess I can do that here as well.
I appreciate your help!
Welcome to the forums!
We only pull our reports from myFICO for scores, the info on myFCIO reports is very inconsistent. You should always pull your reports directly from the CRAs or directly from EQ, EX and TU when rebuidling your credit. Let us know what you turn up on EX and TU, then post back in this thread.
Thanks Fused! Well that was quick. Pulled both reports and scores for Equifax and Transunion directly from their sites. Now I see the inconsistencies. The med. collection I'm making payments on is the only one showing on Transunion, with the remaining balance $187. Score 624. All three medical collections are showing on Equifax. 2 as paid, one has a balance due. Score 610. Seems I have a way to go. Both sites say I dont have much established credit too.... But I'd rather remove the collections first and then try and get more credit. Ok buddy...where do I begin...?
Ok, sorry fused...guess I should have checked all 3 at once...newbies...gotta love us. All 3 are showing on Experian. Score 591. Strangely enough, after looking over all three, Equifax and Experian seemed to have broken the balance on the one I'm making the payments on into two entries. With the balance totaling what I figured I owed...hmmm...But anywho...I'm hoping that getting them deleted will raise my score. Or maybe I should apply for another credit card or something. I've got to get over the hump...My score has been dragging for at least a year when this last collection popped up around June. So I'm trying all avenues to work myself back up.
Any advice I would greatly appreciate.
