I am on the last step of the HIPAA process. They verified my unpaid med bill so I sent an Official check to the OC. I have already verified that it has been cashed and I have the green card back. So I am working on Step 3, scenario 1, follow up letter. The third step is pasted below. I don't understand it and don't want to mess things up.
Send a copy of the follow up letter to the OC (legal dept) with the cover letter (the HIPAA Letter), (follows letter to CRA)
So I send the same letter to the CRAs and OC? What is the cover letter?
OK this is a paid collection. Did you use the OC letter to make payment or did you just make payment to the OC?
Did you opt-out & file the pre-HIPAA dispute befor paying?
I followed the exact steps laid out on the forum.
I did opt-out, I did file the pre-HIPAA before paying.
And as of last week it is paid
The follow-up dispute is sent to the CRAs reporting CMRRR
Wait to see if it is deleted.
