Hello everyone! If there's a new blog article that I think you guys might like I plan on posting it in the Forums.
This week's article is: When Love Goes Wrong: Your Credit During Divorce
Let me know what you think about the article.

Thanks for sharing this @Elizabeth_FICO.
This is a *great* article, and I wish divorcing me were smarter about finances.
Especially true is the warning about debts. I stubbornly thought that because debts were assigned in the decree, it carried far more legal weight than it did, and had to suffer the consequences of that (and my own general stubbornness) for a long time.
Divorce can definitely be a FICO killer.
Good info. Especially about keeping a vigilant watch over your CR.
Exes can be quite vengeful.
That is a very common erroneous belief.
Try to think of it this way: you and your spouse are divorcing. A judge has signed off on an order stating one spouse must repay a cc debt.
Fair enough. However, the divorce is between the spouses. The cc company is essentially an innocent bystander (no cc company is actually innocent of anything but, this is for illustrative purposes only).
The cc company is not a party to the divorce. Thus, a judge's order has no impact on the cc company because the court has no jurisdiction over the cc company. The cc company did not agree to the terms of your marital settlement agreement.
The correct remedy when an ex spouse is not paying as ordered is via the courts.
I think this is a really great article! I agree than we have to listen not only our hearts, but sometimes we have to hear our brain, too, cause love story can have a bad end.
Thanks for new interesting information!
