I was a user of Rakuten for a few years. Anyway, in the recent months, it did not trigger several purchases and the customer service was also not responding to several emails. It seems that it is nerfed.
Which cashback sites do you recommend?
PS: Swagbucks for the majority of purchases need follow-up and ticket submission. I tested TCB several months ago while it did not trigger any purchases.

I've never had any problems with rakuten, are you using an adblocker of any sort?
I would use a browser profile that only has shopping websites + rakuten to prevent any issues with rakuten not crediting correctly
agree with swagbucks always requiring a ticket ime, I cba to do swagbucks for that reason
There is also www.rebatesme.com/
Shopping via Rebtaesme is hit or miss. It captures several while it misses also several. Ticket submissions covered some while not all.
I am checking CapitalOne and TCB (VPN/Adblock off). Let's see how they trigger purchases and how soon they can provide CB.
I've racked up over 2K with Rakuten over the years, have had very few problems. I've recently cashed in $185 with CoinOut, took a year. And I've used Ibotta for years.
So why is this is 'Relationships and Money'?
I use an app called Upside for gas. Gives me $0.15 a gallon cashback on average.

But aren't they only for the high(er) priced stations to begin with?

Probably. Granted there are gas stations out there connected to things like Walmart, Costco, and Sam's Club that cost the same after the rebate offer, but the big advantage to me is all the locations I can go to for the same cost as those cheaper gas stations. Sometimes it's inconvenient to go to Costco or Sam's if all you need is to fill up your car.
Plus there's this debate about whether those discount stations use lower quality gas than brand name companies like Shell and BP. I have no idea if that's necessarily true, but I've always been one to get brand name over generic if it's literally the same price.

No really. The gas station location would have to parter with UpSide. Im my area Exxon, BP/Amoco and some 7Elevens parter with UpSide, Shells in my area don't.
