7 instead of 8??

When did the number of hot dogs in a package drop from 8 to 7???!?!?!?!?!

Lol - so there are 6 buns in a package, and 7 hot dogs in a package.  (Least the ones I got.)

Hot dogs are sold by the pound which is more or less the answer to why they come in different counts.

I've seen that with the Hebrew National brand and thought it was a bit strange.
