No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
So, I usually like to browse through my CC's websites to see what I can find, and came across this little offer:
https://www.amexpubbooks.com/?Obj=annualcb11AMX#
But I'm having trouble grasping this. I don't know if it's the language of it, the wording, or what...
It almost seems like it is saying that for $2.99, I am getting a free book and a $100 restaurant certificate to be used at specific restaurants?
And all I have to do to keep the book for just the $2.99 is hand back the advance notice card?
I'm paranoid, and afraid this will end up being a "Pressing Submit enrolled you into a quarterly service that'll cost you an arm and a leg".
Anyone have any experience with this? It definitely seems too good to be true.
There's always a kicker for these type of "re-bill" offers. The fine print for the restaurant certificate:
* For a list of participating restaurants, terms and conditions, and to redeem your Certificate, visit www.diningdough.com. Certificate is not redeemable for cash or credit. Redemption subject to participating restaurants' restrictions and minimum purchase requirements. Certificate redeemable for savings in variable denominations (from $10 to $100), one per visit. Each Certificate allows redemption of a total of $100 worth of restaurant savings. Cannot be combined with any other offer. Registration form for Restaurant Certificate will be mailed following receipt of order form and is transferable.
It's basically a coupon that could be worth up to $100 in savings (note the italics). It is not a $100 flat out credit. Most likely a "Spend $50 Save $10" type of thing.
Nice catch about the minimum purchase requirement. It was way too early in the AM for me to jump on this.
Yeah, I'll pass on this lol
