I don't have as many cards as many folks on here, so I do tend to keep them in my wallet, with the notable exception of Care Credit... since it only gets used at the dentist, it stays with my passport and other documents until I need it.
I think part of my 'phobia' centers around having cards declined for no reason in the past. I know that even in that case you don't need 8+ cards, but oddly I find them easier to keep up with if I keep them all together. I think I'm done with additons for a while, but if/when I add any more most likely I'll start playing 'favorites' and leave some of them at home.
