FWIW, I originally preordered Coin, but I canceled upon hearing about this card, because the features sounded so much better.

I pre-ordered after they gave the definitive ship date as I didn't want to order and then they cancel the projects or constantly delay it. I'm excited though I don't know what I'd do with two. Maybe a travel and everyday one. There's no one I know that would find it useful. But I'm excited and hope they release a list of banks they've reached agreements with and get Visa EMV by shipping.

Is this a one time purchase for the $155? Is their any of other fee's for this? Have they released which banks/cards will be supported? What if the card snaps/breaks like some other cards do under pressure?

No other fees if you pre-ordered prior to the date stated above. Otherwise, there is a yearly subscription fee I believe. All cards are supported for magstripe. Only Mastercard EMV is supported at the moment. There's a warranty on the card.

I think I like SWYP a little bit better, more cards, at half the price. I heard Stratos is in the flopping stages, it's a tight field, and who knows what'll happen now that a big player (LG) has entered the fray.

This looks really cool and reading about it here is the first I've heard of it. While it's awesome I think I'll wait for a review and some time has passed.
