Anyone view their holdings, credit cards, and bank accounts this way?

I do.

WITHOUT MY DEPOSITS - You would have NOTHING. Am I your boss?

The video gave me a few chuckles in the beginning...
I just could not bring myself to watch the whole thing.

Thoughts:

1. I have no idea what he's getting at, so I guess I don't view my holdings this way.

2. Not Lithgow's best work.

I thought it was one of his best roles. He won an golden globe award believe for that role.

It's one of his favorite roles he did.  I absolutely love this role he played.

In the episode, he discovers humans have this concept of "stocks." He's an alien trying to learn as much as they can about the human race - one day his colleagues score big in the stock market so he decides he wants in.

So of course, being aliens he and Tommy don't understand so they put all their money into one basket. The prices rise and then his stocks start plunging non-stop. He lied to his girlfriend about winnng in Stocks and said he'd take her to Sunny Cancun.

He goes down personally to try and raise his stocks.

Stocks obviously don't work like that - in my opinion, but I really thought the writing to this show was brilliant.

There's an episode where he gets a debit card for the first time and ends up sharing his pin with his co-wokers.

In another, they get "You're qualified !" Mailers and they are excited to have Platinum status. 😂

There are others where they discover auto insurance, humans having affection and heart for their things (their car, specifically).

I just thought it'd add some humor to a subject that not many talk about! 😊😊😊

Thanks for the background -- that actually helps frame what's going on! I had never seen that show (I'm not much of a TV show watcher, and I've had to had people explain Seinfeld and Big Bang Theory tropes to me too).

He might be better throughout the series, but in that particular clip he came off as a bit campy to me. But, I also like him best in his dramatic and stage roles (recently, his role as Churchill in the Crown comes to mind) rather than comedic ones, so it could just be me, too.
