Blackberry Curve 8330

I don't really expect anyone to know this, but I just need to vent.

Sprint has released several release dates for this phone and it's driving me nuts because it is still not out!!! They do not inform their employees as to what is going on (all of them give different release dates).

Sprint, what are you doing? Verizon and Alltel have already beat you to the punch line.

Is there anyone else in FICO land that feel my pain?

Re: Blackberry Curve 8330

i used to manage the cell phone accounts where i used to work.  sprint was always the worst.  i needed to order a new stylus and the person i was talking to didn't even know what a stylus was!  many times i just hung up and called bck trying to reach someone with a clue.  it was awful!

verizon was always better

i only had one user who had a curve the rest used the blackberry 8830.  actually the blackberry 8830 was preferred

Re: Blackberry Curve 8330

My SO has the 8830 and it doesn't have video or pics, so I don't want that.

I don't really care for Verizon and I don't plan on changing, but Sprint need to get it together when comes to customer service.

I don't really care for any of the carriers because they are all about the same to me.

BTW, this is Sprint's 1st Curve, so the one that you saw was probably unlocked.

Re: Blackberry Curve 8330

I had Nextel for four years. The past 1.5 years has been the absolute worst experience, since Sprint and Nextel merged. Customer service sucks. I hate them. Who cares now, as I have switched over to US Cellular. So far, so good.

Re: Blackberry Curve 8330

ByrdMan,

Well before now I haven't really had any problems with them. I never liked Nextel. I am starting to not like their CS.

I have had my acct for almost 9 yrs now, so far so good. I just want the phone!!

Re: Blackberry Curve 8330

actually it was an at&t curve.  we used sprint, verizon and at&t.  my users didn't have much use for pics and vid on their work phones, so that really didn't matter.

i'm a simple girl and went with a RAZR.  i have a data card for internet so i didn't need an expensive blackberry plan.  i liked to watch the company's bottom line as much as my own!Smiley Happy

good luck with your phone and i hope it arrives soon!

Re: Blackberry Curve 8330

My best friendboy switched from Verizon to Sprint and it has been a nightmare. Maybe it's only in SoCal, but I swear every time we talk I get dropped. And he has a lot of problems w/ calls going straight to vmail even though his phone is on.

We just renewed for 2 more years and I upgraded to the enV and it is SO GREAT! I love it Smiley Happy And it's in my favorite color.. green!

Re: Blackberry Curve 8330

i have the curve w/a local carrier and kicked sprint to the curb. i was so peeved it cost me just under a grand to buy out our contracts and get 3 new phones.

as for the curve, i actually prefer the palm treo's to the balckberry. i could edit powerpoint, excel, and word docs with it. blackberry i would need to but a software add on to do it.

botom line sprint will never get my money again.

Re: Blackberry Curve 8330

Sorry to hear about that ducky. I have heard a lot of people with Sprint issues, but as I stated at first this is my first real problem with them. I live on the 6th flr of my building and I can get a signal and my neighbors can't so I am not really willing to risk not being able to use my phone.

As far as the treo goes, I have been a treo user for 5 years now. I now have the 755p, I had the 700p and 700wx, and 650 (2). Needless to say I am ready to move on. Palm does not upgrade their software at all. On all of my phones, except for the windows version, they have all had the same capabilities.

I am wanting to move to the Curve because it has push technology (email) and to be able to sync my calendar to my phone. I do not really need to use it to edit or create documents.

I guess it depends on what you need the phone for.

BTW, problem solved I just ordered the phone!!!

Re: Blackberry Curve 8330

This is so funny. My kids used to laugh at my big heavy Nextel i730. So, an upgrade to me is to get a RAZR. Not a RAZR 2 or 3, but the original. They just wagged their heads and flashed their sidekicks and blackberries. I don't want or need all of that stuff. If I had it, I would play with it. My boss is already threatening to fire me for spending too much time on these forums. I would certainly be fired by the jerk, if I had a nice new gadget to play with.

Just kidding about the boss being a jerk. He is actually very nice...and handsome too. ..I am my boss. Get back to work Byrdman!
