It is from a single 747 that has been retired since 2017. The identifying number is printed on the card, along with the stats of 68 million miles flown, the inaugural date and the final flight date of this specific plane.
If they're all from the same plane, can anyone who's gotten one share which tail number it is?
Mine didn't come with that page; must only be with the personal version? Can confirm mine is from N667US (if they aren't all the same).
In frustrating news, the print is just as badly contrasting as my previous purple card. Due to the size of the text, I can make out the card number and expiration fine on the back at least, but the four digit code on the front is still going to be a headache to find in the light just right to read. Is there still a white ink shortage?! This is an undoctored photo of my Member Since date (just below the four digit code, which doesn't contrast any better) to show what I am talking about.

Don't know what's wrong with yours. Mine is almost as bright as the Amex and lines.

My guess is that despite the envelopes usually having the same return address, Amex probably uses a vendor with multiple locations (or multiple vendors) to make their cards. The return address on this envelope was "Plantation, FL" instead of the usual "Omaha , NE," but I know one of my previous card replacements (SPG?) showed it was being made one neighborhood over from me in Amex's tracking. My personal purple Reserve card numbers are bright and shiny (from launch of metal cards), but both my purple (received when I upgraded from Platinum) and 747 business cards are filled with an ink so dark it's almost brown.
K,
My name and 4 digit code are really dark.
Card number is grey. Exp is white.
I dunno, maybe leave as is. I wish it says "Reserve" as the uninformed Delta staffer may not know status at first glance.

@Ricky_D I always thought it was weird that the Reserve cards never said Reserve on them. As far as Delta staff goes, though, any Amex Delta cards and their accompanying benefits are automatically linked to your SkyMiles account and are visible when your boarding pass is scanned or they pull up your account from your passport or other ID.

Not just the Delta co-brands; Platinum also links in and you shouldn't need to show it to get in.
Has anyone been able to upgrade to this design? When I go to the "Replace a card" menu I don't see this design and when I called they told me it was out of stock.
But it still shows the design for "new applications" and the "add new user" menus.

Maybe they ran out of their allocation for upgrades.
That's definitely a possibility. I (obviously, since I complained about the ink) got the 747 card to replace my business one, but when I go to my personal card and choose I want a new design as the replacement reason, I get this:
I can't even check on my business Reserve if it's an option to replace it again, as it tells me I have an expected delivery date on my 747 card a month ago.

The Delta Amex Reserve 747 Special Edition that I recevied at the end of June has crisp white ink on the front top part and uses a dark color (between brown and gold) for the name, security code and "member since" parts in the botton front part.
Might be that as was mentioned in this thread before, different locations produce the same card, but with variable results.
Is there a shortage of the 747 Delta Reserve cards now?
