The Rose Gold AMEX was also initially a "limited edition " card. Then they brought it back for additional "limited edition " offers. Now it's just a standard offer when you apply for the card. There are a number of 747 that are being retired. The purple design doesn't have any real hooks to it.
Someone convince me they aren't going to ramp this up as a regular option for the Reserve.

Uh, this is like "attorneys general" or "mouses" (when referring to computer peripherals) where the correct plural just sounds weird.) With the crazy Welcome Offers lately, they may go fast!

A good point...and when our current cards expire, I am guessing they aren't "saving" any to replicate them in the future we'll be back to the previous version...
