Cheap Movie Rentals

I've been using MovieCube and RedBox DVD rental boxes hereof late. Both websites have locators to see if there's one near you. For a $1 a night rental, and some fairly recent releases, it ain't bad.

MovieCube needs to be back by 7PM the next night. RedBox by 9PM.

Re: Cheap Movie Rentals

Have you used NetFlix? Keep as long as you want and as many as you want for $9/month. They are usually in the mailbox the next day after the one is returned. If you have used Netflix, how would you compare it to the ones you're using now?

Re: Cheap Movie Rentals

I've used both, but seems like NetFlix was like $17.95 a month, could have been just my plan or they've lowered prices, this was about 3 years ago.

RedBox works better for me, because I have to take them back or pay $1 extra......with NetFlix, I was paying that monthly fee for 1 or 2 movies b/c I would put off sending them back.

Also, I don't always have time to watch a movie, but on the spur of a moment, I'll be like I want to watch a movie.

We have 3 RedBox locations here in town, I can check online and see if they have what I want, reserve it, then go pick it up.

Re: Cheap Movie Rentals

I have netflix, and the price depends on how many movies you have at a time.  I also use the option of watching on my PC when I am on the road, whcih I like.  There are less things available for internet watching, but I can usually find something.

Re: Cheap Movie Rentals

DF got a special or some trial offer from her job a year or so ago. I just put 15 movies in queue and could've put more. There were 10s of thousands to choose from, seriously. Get some for us, some for the kids, etc.

Re: Cheap Movie Rentals

Red box is great, but netflix is my best friend. I also like the watch online feature.

Re: Cheap Movie Rentals

If you have a local library card, you can rent movies at no charge. They don't have the selection that blockbuster or net flix has but they have fairly recent releases.

Re: Cheap Movie Rentals

I recently picked up my Netflix account again. Got a hankerin' for a number of documentaries I ain't gonna find anywhere else. But, for just something to watch, RedBox or MovieCube.
