Re: Credit Card tricks: to share or not to share?

shots fired XD

I share everything. sometimes I just wait until it works for me before I share it. some might say that's because I don't want it to blow up and hurt my chances, but we're gonna say it's because I want to guarantee it's going to work before I put you in a possibly risky situation. lol.

I'll have to agree... I tend to share freely, sometimes even risking 'oversharing'... LOL.

That being said, when I'm not sure about something, I usually keep my mouth shut.  In this case, if somebody specifically asks me what I know about a topic, I'll chime in with what I believe to be true, but I'll also add that I have doubts, and what they are.

To me, the only thing worse than somebody who refuses to share their knowledge is somebody who shares false knowledge, or (almost as bad) states their own personal opinion as 'fact'.  This may seem like a contradictory statement, but in my humble opinion it would be better for us all if those folks didn't share anything.

Re: Credit Card tricks: to share or not to share?

Wellll take it from a person that has shared FREELY(Discover 17 day cli thread as well as many other things), sometimes it can backfire and come to an end. I just genuinely want to help everyone here. So anything I have found, I have shared. Have I learned? Certainly. But I can't say that I wouldn't share a "trick" with a select few in the future. Just probably wouldn't post a thread about it. Smiley Wink

I'm too slow. Smiley Sad Most of the time when I find something good worth sharing, it's already posted here. Smiley MadSmiley Tongue

@I have come to the conclusion that even on myFICO forums, there are people who are mentally not ok. This was a simple question. How this got turned around is quite simply, psycho. LMAO! it's ok, we all need help @ one time or another in our lives. it's just an online forum. NO one here can hurt you or make your life miserable as to not share tips and tricks. The only person that can do it is ___. So, let's smile, and understand that if someone doesn't want to openly share something, there is something called a PM, which they can be asked to send via that method. If not, there is more than one place to get the info. I'd bet, if someone here knows a tip and trick, they probably got it fromt somewhere else out there in www land. And we've been using SEARCH ENGINES for how long? Even before Google blew up in 2004. "Welcome...You've Got Mail!"

This thread, IMO, got out of hand.

Lesson for me in all this is to be more mindful of topics I start--or more importantly, don't start.
