Spend summaries are available online or in the app of most cards or you could link your cards to something like Mint to view spend though categories aren't always accurate.
Ok. A couple of my cards give breakdowns like that, but I've never seen it listed across all cards. Thought maybe it was somewhere on myfico.com that I hadn't noticed yet.
So I looked at my CSR report after seeing this thread, and I don't know if I'm more ashamed of the fact I only spent $20k on dining/non-airline-travel or the fact that I once again screwed up and ran 175.29 in 1x spend because I mistook the business as falling under a 3x category. I can at least explain the grocery and shopping services as 3x promotions Chase ran during the shutdowns.
EDIT: For you American Express gurus, any idea why Delta Air Lines is multiple entries when other companies don't seem to be? Example:
@iced Different coding charges on DL will appear differently to their internal system as if they are from different merchants. It's why a paid upgrade or cheap ticket won't trigger the airline credit but an additional fee paying the remainder of a partially paid ticket (with eCredit, voucher, or gift card) or baggage fee will.

Hold up, let me check my budget. If there's room for half a pizza, we can split it.
Interesting topic.
I have 3 cards that each serve their own purpose. I'm also not a big spender compared to a lot on here.
For my Chase cards in 2020, and my BoA card in 2019 (no 2020 summary available yet):
Chase Amazon Prime Visa ($1500 limit): Total spend $6,900 (avg. $575/mo) Biggest categories were shopping (Amazon) $3769 and Bills/Utilities $2,569 (with their 4% on everything bonus I've been paying most of my bills with this card thru February)
Chase Freedom Unlimited ($3,000 limit): Total spend $8,054 (avg. $671/mo). Biggest categories are Bills/Utilities $1660, food/drink $592, groceries $920, home $1,208, shopping $2,123 and travel $643.
BofA Cash Rewards ($500 limit): BofA hasn't given me a 2020 YE summary yet, but for 2019 my spend was $4,701, primarily "merchandise". I mostly use this card for groceries and gas, and dining (until CFU started offering 3% for dining in 2020). For 2020, I calculated my spend on this card based on the payments made 2/2020-1/2021 (which would cover charges made in 2020) and the total is $4,141, so a bit less than in 2019. Average $345/mo.
That makes total CC spend in 2020 $19,095. Chump change compared to some, maybe a lot to a few others. Which is why I don't have, or need high limits.
2021 CC spend will likely be lower as bonus cash-back offers expire and I start paying my bills out of checking again, plus travel will be down this year again.
I charged slightly over $50k in expenses over Q3 + Q4 and all I got for it was a bunch of cash back.
Numbers will probably be lower in 2021.
