Maybe it sprayed or peed on the couch.

I know DH, back before he realized how much he adores the Budster (our black lab), would have tossed his patootie out on the lawn for that!!

Who said it's LIVEstock?  I do love the little monster with my whole heart. Scamp....because Mama HTSU already has two. If she gives him the same name as one the other, her DH won't realize that there's a 3rd running around....at least until the smell kicks his butt.

Our Buddy is VERY special. Very special "pedigree!"

Part black lab, beagle, Alaskan Eskimo, Chow and (here's the special part) ... chicken!! I tell everyone he's a very SPECIAL breed when anyone asks!!

That poor pooch is scared poopless of leaves rustling in the wind, the odd plastic shopping bag blowing by, and of course, the WORST is billowing gas grill covers. Those give him fits.

Lightening and heavy rain is also terrifying for the poor booger. But cottonmouths? Oh, heck no! They're perfect for chasing under cars. o_O

Don't ask.

I had to ask! Growing up in Florida, we saw our share of cottonmouths and the occasional rattlesnake, but what would possess a dog to chase after them?

I can see the bumper sticker now:

My cottonmouth-chasing dog beat up your car-chasing dog

Re: Dear Mod HTSU:

Awww, fish, he's still being a big pee monster? Did the vet check him to see why he's doing this? He wasn't doing it all along, so something must have changed?

I'd take him, but I already have one couch that got covered in kitty urine during Hurricane Rita, when I had to leave my cats behind. My male would hold his urine all day and then fill the box (I don't know why he was like that) I guess during the storm, he was sitting on the back of the couch as usual,  which looked into our front yard and a tornado had ripped an oak tree out of the ground and threw it onto the porch. I probably would have let loose in that instance as well, so I can't blame him. After I got home and got things cleaned, I couldn't keep him inside at all. He'd come in to eat and run back out. Think he was a bit traumatized. Smiley Sad

I hope he settles down soon.

Our kitty spends most nights in bed with my wife and me, usually either on top of her or curled around somebody's head.  Whenever we buy new sheets we always get extra matching pillowcases because they get covered with fur so need to be changed daily.  Fortunately our kitty consistently uses the litter box, so the only messes she makes are the occasional furball.
