Favorite Credit Card Wallet?

What's your favorite wallet for carrying all your credit cards?

My dilemma is that I've now got so many cards (good problem to have!) that I can no longer carry them all in my bulging wallet. So I need to find a larger and/or more efficient way of carrying my cards.

I could buy a big leather wallet specifically for carrying cards, but that wouldn't fit in my hip pocket. I like to carry my cards on my person in case I need them. So I need to find a wallet big enough to carry lots of cards but small enough to fit in my pocket. Maybe there is no such animal?

Perhaps another solution would be to use my regular wallet for the cards I use often, and keep the others that I don't use as frequently (e.g., hotel cards) elsewhere? What do you do?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Re: Favorite Credit Card Wallet?

I've been using a wallet from Walmart (store brand "George") to tote my cash and cards for the past year or so. It's a mite crowded but has room for all 10 of my credit cards plus my debit cards, program cards, insurance cards, etc. The only real problem with it is that the chips tend to get dirty sometimes from rubbing up against the leather so that I have to clean them every so often to make sure that readers don't reject them.

Apple Pay.  I usually only carry my Amex SPG (now SPG Luxury), Amex Platinum, CSP (now CSR), and BoA Premium Rewards (backup).  I'll carry a 5th card if I need it for 5% or something.

Re: Favorite Credit Card Wallet?

Samsung Pay when I can it's more successful in the city than around where I live. For time being I carry the biz/personal AMEX Platinums, CSR, BofA PR, Walmart card, and any SUB-chasing card. I used to have the SPG in there as well but makes no sense as a daily driver anymore. The rest of the cards are in a lockbox at home in case I need to grab a card out of there. Might be some rearranging as I re-evaluate where I'm gonna put my spend going forward.

Re: Favorite Credit Card Wallet?

I know a few people who use binders designed for business cards to store their credit cards.

For daily use I carry a Coach tri-fold wallet with 7 slots but I rarely carry more than 3 cards at any time.  That suits me since all my cards are registered in Google Pay and most of the places I frequent usually allow payment with my phone.

I thought for a long time about how to store/carry the unused cards then one day I was in a Goodwill store looking for cheap photography props when I had the idea to go look at women's wallets.  I ended up finding a new brown leather women's wallet for $1 that has enough room for all my loyalty/debit/credit cards.  So whatever isn't currently in my wallet is stored alphabetically in this other wallet that I can easily throw in my backpack or glove compartment.

The Goodwill store I went to get rejects from stores like Target and Kohl's so many items are unused.

Re: Favorite Credit Card Wallet?

Check out the Ridge Wallet. I have 12 cards plus my Insurance card and drivers licence in it and it is pretty compact in front pocket.

It is also RFID blocking. Several styles and materials to choose from

Re: Favorite Credit Card Wallet?

I've also been looking for a wallet that looks decent, is "grown up" as DW says, is still slim, and holds a good number of cards. I have 4 or 5 that I carry but I also have to carry a bunch of IDs and magnetic door cards for work so this has been difficult.
PERSONAL; Amex | AOD FCU | BBVA | BECU | Capital 1 | Chase | Citi | Discover | Key | NFCU | PSECU | SECU MD | Synchrony | US Bank
BUSINESS; Amex | Citi
F8 Current F8s ~750 Best Ever F8s ~775
TOTAL PERSONAL CL > $350k and TCL > $365k

Re: Favorite Credit Card Wallet?

I'm In love with my Wallet Phone Case. It's the greatest invention to me. One side is a wallet. Has 10 card slots. Behind both card slots. There are 2 little folds to stash my money. The other side I have my I.D. holder and the phone is magnetized to the inside of it. I can pull the phone off whenever I dont need the wallet like when at home. But it's nice to keep my phone and wallet together while protecting my phone at the same time.

By the way, I love using Samsung Pay too! It's so much easier when it can be used.

Re: Favorite Credit Card Wallet?

I prefer the slim "carry what you need" approach.  I don't carry more than 3 credit cards at a time and my debit card.  Currently I have a slim wallet that is excellent for my needs and I have a total of 3 CC cards, 1 debit, 2 licenses, cash, and an available slot for whatever I want to put there.  Even when it is fully loaded, I hardly notice it is in my pocket.

There are apps available for any smartphone that allow me to not carry any rewards cards in my wallet.  I personally use Cardstar but I know there are others out there that probably work just as good.  I have rewards cards stored on there from Auto Zone, CVS Pharmacy, Speedway, Shell, my supermarket, Dick's Sporting Goods, Staples, just to name a few.  This has allowed me to reduce the bulk in my pockets and carry a minimalist wallet.  I'm a much happier person.
