Not credit related, but I recently purchased a Dell laptop and upon needing to return it was told I would be charged a 15% restocking fee and that the refunded amount would be $539.62 rather than the $589.12 I initially paid. The amount that was credited to my Visa is $496.41. I've now spent hours on the phone with Dell's Customer Care and Return Departments and have been told by different people that 1) they show I was refunded $546.41 and so that's what I was refunded even though this is not the case and 2) that there was a $50 restocking fee. I've explained that I was already only being refunded $539.62 because of the restocking fee but no one is listening, helping, or transfering me to the right place to fix this issue.
Should I file a BBB complaint? Will that get my $50ish back from Dell? Are there any other options?
