Funny things your Dog does!!!

Rowdy--male  half Rottie/half shepard,black&tan,65lbs 5yrs old.

When i let him out to do the Lawrence Welk special ( a one ah, and a two ah)

Rowdy is a boy, but squats like a girl when he pees.  LOL LOL

Well he doesnt really squats, he just stretches out..

takes a few steps with his front legs while his back legs dont move.Smiley Very Happy

But every once in a while, when he sees a male dog, guess what...he lifts he leg.Smiley Wink

So he can do it the right way... i guess he is just lazy..

Re: Funny things your Dog does!!!

My puppy really likes to watch tv.  She will literally sit and watch for about a 1/2 hour before she gets tired of it. She is going through "I am afraid of everything stage."  She fell into her food bowl and knocked it over--it really scared her.  I had to change the bowl and now she will grab mouthfuls of food and run them into the other room to eat.

She is afraid of her food bowl, but she really loves her water bowl.  She will stick her nose into the water to blow bubbles.

Re: Funny things your Dog does!!!

I love to tease my dog (he likes it, too...to a point). But when I've gone a little too far, and he's had enough...he bites his own leg! It's hysterical!

Of course, then he gets treats and a belly-rub, so we're cool.

On another note, he gets extremely depressed when I take out a suitcase to pack for a trip. He knows I'm leaving, and he knows he isn't coming along, and he doesn't want much to do with me at that point, except to lay on a very effective guilt trip. He keeps that up right until I pull away from the driveway, and the last thing I see is his mournful face staring at me from the bedroom window. I can almost hear him saying, "How can you leave me behind like this?" It's really pathetic, and it breaks my heart every time.

Re: Funny things your Dog does!!!

Well I have a lab/pointer mix who has a huge mouth. She always gets in trouble for chewing on the kids stuffed animals. Every once in a while she will come in the family room with her mouth closed but her face is huge. We tell her to "drop it" and she will look at us like, " What are you talking about ? I don't have anything!." Then I will tell her a second time and she will drop out a whole (smaller) stuffed animal. It like something from a alien movie and I still don't know how she can get something like that all the way in her mouth. It is just not normal. Needless to say there have been quite a few toys hit the trash can because of her!

Re: Funny things your Dog does!!!

Two pugs, both rescue.  Other than the normal snoring, snorting and passing of gas, they both wake up out of sound sleep (their normal state) when a doorbell rings on TV...one runs to the back door, one to the front (have the house covered).  Even in bed, if I have the TV on.  Man I hate the pizza and pest control commercials!

Now there is a Toyota commercial I have only seen a couple of times...they hold a squeaky toy out the window and squeak it as they driving, both dogs went nuts.

Re: Funny things your Dog does!!!

We have an english mastiff male, close to 200 pounds, huge huge dog....

REFUSES to lift his leg to pee.  Why?  Cause when he does he falls over.  He is only 2, so we still chalk it up to him being a puppy when people make comments, but we know...  lol  he has no balance so he pees like a girl.

My boy dog (50 pounds) pees like a girl and gets beaten by our female cat.  Other than that he's kinda neurotic.  licks his paws CONSTANTLY!

Re: Funny things your Dog does!!!

My dog Oscar is a two year old yorkie. I "pad trained" him, so when it's cold or raining outside, he can pee pee on the pad. I trained him when I got him at 12 weeks old to be pad trained -  rewarded with treats. Well, when Oscar wants a treat, he will walk over to the pad (only when I can see him to do this, he's a manipulative little six pound male!)  and pretend to pee, just for a treat. He looks at me with those puppy eyes, "where's my treat mom" - I tell him, Oscar, you didn't go pee pee on the pad. Like he understands.
