I had always heard that baking soda and water would help calm the tummy. My brother was in from basic training and got pretty smashed. So, I went and fixed him a glass. Umm, too much baking soda, but it sure caused him to vomit most of what he drank and felt better the next morning. I don't think he would suggest I recommend this, unless your goal is to puke sooner rather than later.
Drinking a 20 ounce bottle of water before bed helps A LOT, as HTSU said.
A beer or two the next day takes the headache away.

Having owned a bar for 20 years I can honestly say if you can't get pure oxygen then take about a 1cup of draft beer.. Instant relief.
The crew chiefs I used to work with would always hit the oxygen when they came in on Sun nites and whenever we went TDY to Vegas!
Before anyone tries any of the suggestions here(other than those that suggest certain foods), please check with a doctor.
There is such thing as too much oxygen and it can be very harmful.
Time water rest motrin. Something to help sleep is also good. This is a problem I try to avoid.
I was violently ill at 3:00am Jan 01. Not because I had too much to drink but I drank rum punch. Did NOT agree with me.
Gatorade. Yes.
Drink a little the night OF and the next morning after. My GF's room is stuff and it at least help me breathe. Currently, at 25 still drinking a lot. (22 is really when I met people who showed me HOW TO DRINK the RIGHT way)
In some otherwise utterly forgettable novel a stereotypical Russian character says to the American, the morning after a night of too much vodka, "I need the skin of the dog that bit me." The Yank corrects him, "you mean the hair." The Russian replies, "Nyet, I need the whole skin!"
