Taking the question in the title at face value (exactly one card, me personally):
Capital One QuickSilver
- I already have the card.
- The limit, though not huge, is larger than I all but very rarely spend in a month.
- No foreign transaction fees
In reality, I rarely use my QuickSilver because using just 2 cards (Sapphire Reserve and Freedom Unlimited) yields significantly greater value.
With my current cards and my spend patterns, I would have to go with whatever would yield me the most cash back, I would have to go with probably BCP, with Savor in 2nd place.

If you can roll over a sizeable IRA or assets to invest in Merrill Lynch at Bank of America so that you qualify for the "Platinum Honors" level of their Preferred Rewards Program (*$100K minimum in banking and/or investments) ...
