In the airport using my netbook on the way to Chicago

Using my little tiny laptop and airport wi-fi to check email and so forth while my wife and I wait to board the plane to Chicago where my brother lives.  Our parents will also join us there; of course a major advantage of getting together in Chicago is that everybody has plenty of non-stop flights to there.

You have made me homesick.

I grew up in Chicago, and I miss the city.  We have been roasting here near Houston - no rain for weeks and several weeks with temps in the 90s and 100s.

Actually I did have chicken dinner last night, though not Harold's, it was Herbed Roasted Chicken outside overlooking the Chicago River near the Dearborn Street Bridge.  My brother's kids were especially fascinated by all the tour boats going back and forth.  Before meeting up with everybody else my wife and I took one of those boat tours with a guide telling about the archiitecture and history of the buildings we passed -- very interesting.
