Re: Is there any co-branded Discover credit card ?

Household had one years ago, but it doesn't exist any more.

I haven't seen another one.

Does anyone know why we don't see any(more) co-banded Discover cards?  Is this something that just isn't part of their business model?

I used to have a Walmart Discover card years ago, around 2010-ish.

Obviously that one doesn't exist anymore either

Co-branded Discover credit cards

There is no any co-branded Discover credit card. There were before 6 March 2020 only two: True Value Discover credit card and Home & Garden Showplace credit cards issued by Comenity Capital Bank.

Re: Co-branded Discover credit cards

There is a mistake. The True Value Discover card and Home & Garden Showplace Discover card are not co-branded Discover credit cards, because they are not issued by Discover Bank.

They tend to zig when others zag. They lack relationships with hotels and airlines and can't easily compete in the travel card space. Instead they offer cash back and good customer service with no AF. They don't try to attract high spenders with big SUBs.

There's really not that much spend on the Discover network. DFS is best understood as a consumer finance company with a payment card division. *They make their money from CC interest and BT fees, as well as interest on personal loans.

Personal spend: Amex Gold, Amex Schwab Plat., BofA PR+CCR(x2), Costco
Business use: Amex Bus. Plat., BBP, Lowes Amex AU, CFU AU
Perks: Delta Plat., United Explorer, IHG49, Hyatt, "Old SPG"
Mostly SD: Freedom Flex, Freedom, Arrival
Upgrade/Downgrade games: ED, BCE
SUB chasing: AA Platinum Select
