Not sure how much london to munich was, but I paid $35 round trip for a flight from Koln to London. lol. Munch is just a short ~4 hour train ride away.

Crazy thing, though, is that the price of the flight I paid to London went up $200 from the time I left work till the time I got home to actually pay for it. Insane! So the Avios reduction came in handy.
Get it, Fin! It's a wonderful thing to have.
Well considering the 100,000 promo may not return for a while I'm definitely leaning toward applying for it. Oh, decisions decisions
Not long ago I got AARP and IHG was a couple months back. So, I'm definitely giving it some thought.
See that i can transfer points from my MR and UR accounts to BA for award redemption, i'm willing to wait for the for it.

Remember that come Oct 1, MR points lose 40% when transferred to Avios so if you plan on transferring them, I'd do it before then.

This is an little bit off topic but what miles are most people using to get to Europe from US? More precisely from east coast US. Trying to determine if i should save up miles for SQ or maybe save them for lufthansa to get to Europe.

For me (on West Coast) AA and Alaska have best redemption to Europe during off season. I can fly coach (which I don't mind at all) for 40K miles RT. Taxes and fees (when I'm not on BA metal) comes to ~$200-300 RT max, ~$750 if on BA. I'm a fan of more bang for my buck so coach is cool that way.
Double check Lufthansa taxes. IIRC they used to have fuel fees (according to a friend of mine). Not sure if that is still the case.

I was looking at using Chase UR to united to fly lufthansa, but not sure of fuel surcharges. I thought United charges very little fuel surcharges/taxes if you use united miles. I actually just used some UR my asiana flight , and i think fuel surcharges were under 20 dollars, which isn't bad. I am just not 100% sure if thats the case for all star alliance partners of United.
