Kickstarter projects

Has any one backed a Kickstarter project, I"m thinking about backing a Kickstarter keyboard project.

I backed Plastc card a couple years ago, and eventually ended up canceling and getting a refund within a week or two of them announcing the product was canceled. Considered that pretty lucky and vowed I'd never do something of the sorts again.

Not Kickstarter per se, but I've thrown money at some businesses on Mainvest. I rather prefer the equity ownership/repaid with interest model to getting some swag in return for a donation.
