Wouldn't you end up dumping your wallet (along with other contents of your pockets/etc.) before you go through the detectors anyway?

Not sure where I should post this.
I will be traveling in a couple of weeks. I have some metal cards with me and it will be my first time going through TSA with them. Will this be an issue? Any advice? Thank you.
you will be putting your wallet thru the detector, i brought my CSP to both of my last trips to far east with no issues.
I have three metal cards, United Club, Sapphire and Ritz card and I have flown a few times with no issues, just put them in your bag that goes through x-ray, don't try to take them through the metal detectors because they might be damaged that way because of the magnetic field.

I'm not sure if this was said to be funny... but that's about as silly as saying "don't rest your credit card on your computer because the spinning hard drive will erase it." ![]()
A metal detector will not erase your credit card... even when set to the absolute most sensative setting. However, if you keep one of the (metal) cards in your pocket you WILL set off the detector. I would recommend you leave all cards in the bowl/bucket provided and let them be xrayed.
