An old Verizon account is listed by Equifax and Transunion with a credit card icon and by Experian with a car icon. I’m assuming that means that Experian has my account type incorrectly categorized. What should I do?

You should first confirm that it's incorrect on your Experian report and not just a misreading/mislabeling by myFICO's fluff software. You can do this by using Experian's free score/report service or by pulling your free annual report from https://www.annualcreditreport.com/index.action
If it is, indeed, incorrect, then you can dispute the miscatagorization with Experian.

You're welcome! Just want to note - if this is a derogatory account, it may not be worth disputing because any new updates to correct it could result in a scoring penalty from making the derog look newer... just please keep that in mind.

It appears that you are right, it is a glitch in the MyFico algorithm.
