ProudMoney YouTube Channel

Moderators, please move this if you feel there is a more approprite foum.

Anyway, just noticed that after more than a month's absence, Adam from the ProudMoney YouTube channel answered a poster's question as to why he was no longer making new content. His repsonse was that YouTube had basically demonitized him.

Having watched a few of his videos,  it's hard to imagine a more laidback, innocuous channel. Anyone have any ideas as to what he might have done or what may have happened to have been demoitized?

I mean yeah, Sebby should be immediately demonitized the next time he even mutters "the Maldives" or "aspirational travel", but love him or hate him, it's hard to imagine a more inoffensive credit card channel than ProundMoney.

I personally liked that he was a fairly light touch on the clickbait scare titles and the stupid "exaggerated facial expression" trope. Well, compared to most YouTubers anyway.

Re: ProudMoney YouTube Channel

That is a shame, his videos had good informatoin, and didn't promote any of the shady "funding" stuff some other channels do...

OK, I think I figured out what's going on.

The largest YouTube affiliate network, which provideds most credit card YouTubers with the majority of their revenue - otherwise known as money - prohibits them from discussing Discover and another 1 or 2 cards, presumably because they represent competing banks/cards.

I'm guessing Adam at ProudMoney doesn't want to play that game, whether it's because he didn't want to compromise his ethics or because he just can't make enough money by complying I do not know.

I follow his channel, I got AAA Travel Advantage Visa after watching his video, another was Propser Mastercard got approved and the card was never delivered, called out customer service which was in India, was informed that the account was closed, pissed off due to HP. His sincerity what makes the average credit card user follow him.

Justin is awesome.  Informative & innocuous is right.  Hate to see him go.

Prosper is the worst. My account was canceled before I even got the card for suspicious activity. I was pisa I took a HP with approval to not even have account. Took me 3 months dealing with crappy customer service to get the account open.

Re: ProudMoney YouTube Channel

Oddly enough, I am watching a video by Proud Money that was posted 2 days ago and when I launched the MyFico Forums your post came up.  So hopefully this means he's back and that  he will be making videos again more frequently. I always enjoy Adam's videos.
