Both. For very different things.

Re: Tablets vs computer

Computers at home and tablets away.

Our laptops are available but less often taken when traveling. Phones work in a pinch but my elderly eyes and the lack of being able to reliably adblock the garbage make me cringe in advance whenever I open a browser.

Like credit cards, they all have a time and reason to use in our house.

Depends on the flavor you're most familiar with. 'Better' often times equates to familiarity with features and overall comfort with the OS itself. I personally despise Apple products for their stranglehold on approved apps and programs but many of the users I support are befuddled by MS and Android.

Choose what best works for you and you'll end up using it more often.

Tablet for recipes, reading, and the occasional movie in bed or on a plane (no TV in the bedroom by rule!), computer for work, chores, and the occasional game.

Re: Tablets vs computer

Both. Desktop for most things--- school work, daily social media and videos, emails, etc. Tablet is mostly for when I'm on the go, like need to type something up at work or school, or I want to lay in bed watching videos, or sometimes use game apps

Re: Tablets vs computer

I like to use a big desktop as much as possible, but will compromise for convenience:

Samsung Chromebook for writing when I travel.

A very old iPad for writing or reading during a low-intensity stationary bike workout (old enough that it isn't good for much else anymore, and I wouldn't particularly care if it fell and broke).

An iPhone if I'm limited to stuff that fits in my pocket.

Personal spend: Amex Gold, Amex Schwab Plat., BofA PR+CCR(x2), Costco
Business use: Amex Bus. Plat., BBP, Lowes Amex AU, CFU AU
Perks: Delta Plat., United Explorer, IHG49, Hyatt, "Old SPG"
Mostly SD: Freedom Flex, Freedom, Arrival
Upgrade/Downgrade games: ED, BCE
SUB chasing: AA Platinum Select

Re: Tablets vs computer

I mean these days if someone just needs email, internet and word processing a tablet with a keyboard can really do the trick but most of us do need both.
