Re: What is your ??

My God, all you kids!! Lol  Smiley Tongue
My oldest continuously-open card is my DISCOVER.
Opened 06/02/93.
26 years, 7 months!!!

And I had others before that, back into the 80’s!
My old USAA card dates to 1988 but I had to close

that one (joint card) when the ex and I divorced.

I also have three others around the 20+ year point.

My AFBA(UMB) “Simply Rewards” card from 1997 is 22 years, 9 months.
My Bank of America Cash Rewards from 2000 is 19 years, 6 months.
My Chase Freedom Unlimited from 2000 is 19 years, 5 months.

Advice: Don’t close your oldest cards!
Those are the anchors of my AAoA now!
They have ALL been product-changed over the years as new cards or programs evolved.

I was 4 when you got that USAA card lol.

If I didn't have my BK, I would have BoA as my first card around 2003/2004 and US Bank a year or two after.

Re: What is your ??

My oldest card here in the US is my Capital One "Quicksilver Platinum Mastercard", back in 2013. (It is an evolved/discontinued card, but essentially acts like the current Quicksilver.)

Capital One sent me an invitation to apply, around 4 or 5 months after I've taken a car loan, which gave me my first credit history account. I had no credit history before that. I came here in 2012, and am now in my early-mid 30's.

Re: What is your ??

American Express charge card opened January 1993 (27 yrs ago), when I was a sophomore in college. The original amex green card, over the years I upgraded to gold, then platinum, and back down to rose gold. It is my go to rewards card for my needs (4x restaurants/groceries, 3x flights, with $100 airline credit and a free lunch at cheesecake factory every month)!

Re: What is your ??

Regretfully, I closed it one day while in the store at checkout. (2005) I remember I used to build points everytime I took my boys into their portrait studio.  They did away with that program and I had other cards by then so I asked her to call in and close it.  Smiley Sad  The two girls behind the counter tried to talk me out of it but I didn't listen.  So dumb!Smiley Frustrated It has only survived on my EQ report up until last month.  It's history.  My next oldest is a Chase card 2001 which is still reporting and 2001 Comenity/Goody's (now listed as Stages)- also closed due to inactivity.

Wow, didn't think I'd see this card again Smiley Surprised

This and CapOne Platinum were my oldest cards going into college back in 2004. I lost the Clout card when BofA bought it out but still got the CapOne card which is now QS

Edit: add the Walmart card to that too I think; memory a little fuzzy atm with that and too lazy to check credit reports
