When I was in the Army I served with a guy in Germany
who was the most productive person I've ever met in my
life.
Before he went to bed at night, he'd make a list of all the things
he wanted to accomplish the next day. And when he woke
up the next morning, he'd review that list to keep him focused
on his tasks at hand. Then he'd go do them...and he didn't stop
working until everything on his list was done for the day. Whenever
anyone would ask him or order him to do something, his only
response was "CanDo" (or CanDo Sir/Mam when speaking to an Officer).
He noticed that I had a similar work ethic, so we sat down and chatted
one day during lunch. He pointed out that while he was the only "CanDo"
on our post, I did have a "can do attitude" . Coming from him, I appreciated
that compliment more than you know.
So I chose my profile name in honor of him.
