LOL a MAC user in Vista drag.

Re: Windows 7 vs. Vista

I like MAC but most of the stuff I do is Winodws based.  I wonder how many MACs were sold by Vista.  I think  and Microsoft should have updated everyone from Vista to Windows 7 for free.

Trust me, if you like Vista, you will really like Windows 7.

Re: Windows 7 vs. Vista

Why not? Makes perfect sense, he likes using Mac for most things but there are alot more stuff for the PC and therefore you have to use it more likely. If you are going to, then why not 7, a huge improvement to Vista. Now the last part was his venting that Vista in his opinion was so awful that M$ should have upgraded people to 7 for free. To me he made perfect sense for his perspective. Sorry marty if my stepping in was not solicited, but I felt it needed being said. Good luck.

No problem and well appreciated.

One of best TV commercials I ever saw was the MAC one with the bouncer type guy giving permission for Vista to do something.

What is your problem? You think your opinion was somehow dismissed when you are doing the same thing you are accusing me when me and others make comments. So if you are entitled to the opinion, so are we whether you like it or not. So be civil or just shut it and leave.

OK, OK, OK, everyone. Take a lap or something. Smiley Surprised

I'm one of those who bought a Mac because of Vista. I can't be called a true convert, because we had had Apples and Macs for a long time before I bought a Toshiba laptop with Vista. I'm on Windows all day long at work, so it's not that I can't put up with Microsoft products when I have to. (I like WMV better than iTunes, for example.) But Vista drove me around the bend, what with all the are-you-SURE-you-want-to-do-this junk. So I gritted my teeth and paid the big bucks for a MacBook Pro. Heaven.

I pretty much adore the Hi, I'm PC - Hi, I'm Mac commercials, especially when they mock the security stuff.

My orignal comment was now I see a bad joke that only a MAC user would have something nice to say about Vista and that I suspected that Vista was responsible for a few new MAC converts.  It wasnt personal, just directed at Microsoft.

It is interesting to me that even though Vista has been out now for almot 2 years, the goverment just switched to it this summer and it is still plagued by problems.  Security, or more specfically Microsoft's virus worry causes problems for doing simple tasks like trying to link from an HTML page to an office document located on a different server.

It has been alleged that Microsoft failed to provide enough information to third party anti-virus/firewall developers and some hardware developers which contributed to early Vista issues, some of which still remain today.

A note to any Adobe Flex/Flash developers is to forget about Windows 7 64 bit since Flex wont run under it yet and threre is no 64 bit Flash player.  Adobe is 100% at fault here and as a result I recently became a Visual Studio/C# convert.

I wish Microsoft would just focus on what they do good and stay away from areas that they don't.
